“It is such a privilege to work in an industry where we collaborate with clients to bring their visions to life.  I love coming to work every day to find out what the next creative and exciting event will be.  The people that make up The Event Lounge are one of a kind, and I cannot imagine being anywhere else.”

Dena is the Account Manager/Client Relationship Rockstar for The Event Lounge. Born and Raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Dena took a leap across the border to attend the University of Oklahoma.  After completing two study abroad programs in Mexico and Ecuador, she completed her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a minor in Spanish; she then returned to Ecuador for an internship in marketing research.

After leaving Ecuador, Dena then returned to Dallas-Fort Worth and began her career in the events industry with G Texas Custom Catering where she first was introduced to event sales and coordination…. And she fell in love with the process.

After two years working in the DFW event industry, Dena was honored to be accepted into the Webster University Global Masters program.  After completing an intensive one year study program that took her to four different continents, she received her Global Master of Arts Degree in International Relations with a focus on Humanitarian Development.  Dena then returned home to Texas, once again and jumped back into the industry that she loves, becoming part of the team at Gilley’s Dallas.  She is very excited to have grown her career and transitioned to The Event Lounge, where she looks forward to working in this new and exciting adventure.

Specialties: Creative Design, Client and Vendor Relationship Management, Event Logistics, and Site Selection

Passions: Travel, travel and travel.  It is such a fun and unique opportunity to be able to experience our world through the eyes of others.  Learning about other cultures, foods, traditions, and lifestyles is the most rewarding thing I have been privileged to do.

Most Memorable Event Moment: It’s so hard to narrow it down to just one event, but I think my most memorable event was working with Southwest Airlines on their party to celebrate the Repeal of the Wright Amendment.  We hosted the event for 12,000 of their employees bringing in food, drinks, and live entertainment.  It was such an awesome day that I will never forget!
